The weather is finally warming up, and we hope that we’ve seen the last of the snow this season. Pack up your winter garb and get ready for a fun-filled Spring season right here in New York, where the temperatures get hot and the events are even hotter! Here are a few “must-see” (pun intended) events on the top of our list here at Stahl Eyecare Experts:
The High Line: Check out the elevated escape of the High Line right here in Manhattan’s West Side to relax and enjoy a bit of nature in the concrete jungle of New York. From beautiful flowers to intricate artwork, be sure to bring a camera for this one.
Tribeca Film Festival: From April 16-27th, the city is welcoming back the Tribeca Film Festival, which allows filmmakers to broaden their audiences and expose the general public to cinema. This well-known event features movies, street fair fun, panels, and more!
Orchid Show at the NY Botanical Garden: Until April 21, a compilation of the delicate and stunning orchid flower will be featured at the NY Botanical Garden, along with entertainment, performances, and of course, a whole lot of color.
Smorgasburg: Brooklyn’s favorite outdoor market opened back up on April 5th this year, making for an event that will appeal to both your eyes and your taste buds. Stop by for yummy food from various cultures, and a great view of Manhattan!
Baseball: Swing, batter batter! Baseball season kicked off on March 22nd, and whether you’re a fan of the Mets, Yankees, or another team, head out to see your favorite team this season!
Central Park: Central Park is a go-to for New Yorkers due to its endless opportunities. From carriage rides to lunch by the water, tossing a football with a friend, or having a picnic, there’s a myriad of things to do there.
New York International Auto Show: This very popular show runs from April 18-27 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in Manhattan. Get ready for sneak peeks of the newest and hottest vehicles around. Curious as to what will be debuted this year? Get your tickets here!
Pier 2: Brooklyn Bridge Park’s newest Pier 2 is set to open this season, featuring 5 acres of activities including sports, swings, and even a boat launch. Check back for information on completion!
Exercise! The weather is warming up, and New Yorkers are taking advantage of the warmer temperatures with various outside activities this season. Bicycle around the city with Citi Bike, or take part in a charitable cause while getting your workout on at NYPD’s 5K Memorial Run.
Get Cultured: Visit your local museums on June 10 for the Museum Mile Festival, when 9 of your favorite NYC museum will be offering free admission.
